“Thank you, for choosing the Holiday Inn Express Opelousas as the lodging choice for your event for September 29th-October 4th 2026.
The block is listed as the Blown Away on The Bayou room block with the block code BAB. The rooms are blocked as follows:
- 20 Two Queen Standard Rooms at $139+ Tax
- 10 King Standard Rooms for $149+ Tax
- 5 King Suite Rooms for $159+ Tax
Your event participants can start booking their reservations by using the booking link below, or by calling reservations at 337-948-3300 and providing the block code BAB.
Participants have until September 15th to book their room at the special rate, after that, unsold rooms will go back into general inventory and the block rate will not be available.”

If you’re renting a car, consider checking Airbnb, VRBO, and other vacation rental options. The Whirlybird is located at 4092 Highway 182, Opelousas, LA 70570, and there are cottages, guest houses, cabins, and unique stays available throughout Opelousas, Sunset, Grand Coteau, Arnaudville, and the surrounding countryside. Many participants enjoy turning their BAOTB experience into a South Louisiana adventure.
Camping at The Whirlybird Compound
A limited number of camping spaces may be available for participants who would like to stay at The Whirlybird Compound. Because space is limited and our parking, facilities, and septic system have their limits too, all camping arrangements must be approved in advance.
